Personally I think Veleanor makes more sense for a number of reasons.ġ. Seriously, Berseria was like the Velvet, Laphicet and Eleanor show with the others as the interesting supporting cast.I see most people shipping Velvet with either Eleanor or Magilou and was wondering which side has more support. At first, when the scene started, I thought it was Phi that would join Velvet, but nope, lol. That scene on the Van Eltia, sailing in the night was something I was not expecting and was very pleasantly surprised to see. Lastly, despite being the last to join up with Velvet and starting off on some really shaky ground, it was Eleanor that Velvet trusted with her "last will and testament". Like when they're bickering on how he should be "raised" and especially when they banded together to pull Phi away from the other "bad influences" (can't remember if it was Roku or Magi). Also the scenes where Eleanor and Velvet were being total moms to Laphicet always made me smile. The scene where Velvet almost devours Kamoana was the epitome of it all. Her hot and cold dynamic with Velvet was what I found myself looking forward to the most everytime there's a cutscene with both of them together. By the time she gets formally recruited into the party, during her 1-on-1 with Velvet, I just knew then that she'd be my favorite character. I changed out of that the moment I had access to the regular exocist uniform, tho it left her arms looking all stiff and awkward when she stands. Unfortunate because I really liked her design sans the floofy skirt. At the start, when we're first introduced to her when she was crying, I was quick to write her off as "unfortunately uninteresting". I liked the game well enough when I was just starting through the story, but what really sold it for me was Eleanor and her interactions with Velvet. Wow, checked the sub just in time (after months of not dropping by) for Eleanor Discussion thread :D Even better that her 2nd MA is Lost For Drive lol. She’s able to guard break enemies cause of her break soul and dodges them with her swift base rates. Eleanor makes great use of the battle system with her low tier spells combined with her physical attacks and break soul. She’s a glass cannon so handle her with care. The cast is good for her own development as she’s able to see that Daemons are not mindless killing machines, and Malakims have their own will. The most hostile towards Velvet at first till she mellows out. With both being the goody shoes to balance the rebellious party members. In the end she doesn’t entirely side with the party or the Abbey and chooses her own path while seeking the truth. So she starts with a little bit of self reflecting at Titania, realising that she was denying the ugly side of the Abbey she didn’t about. It hits her pretty hard when she sees that the Abbey turned a little girl to a Therion and even worse, the girl losing her mother something Eleanor STRONGLY empathises with. She doesn’t even begin to question the Abbey’s ideals infill she see’s the repeated trapped Therions, Melchior at the tower, and Kamoana’s case. From her perspective it’s the worst situation she can be in. She’s forced to join them after she loses her bet and she’s quite bitter about it. She’s quite hostile towards them in the beginning, they’re daemons and they’ve burn towns. She gets the most development of the cast(besides Phi) because she sees things in black/white and is on the Abbey's side at the beginning.
